EXPLORING CORNWALL
There are so many amazing things you can get up to exploring West Cornwall. If you're new to the area, here's our shortlist of things you could get up to!
BEACHES AND COASTAL WALKS
Growing up in Newlyn, Dan and his siblings have spent many an afternoon scrambling the coast of Cornwall looking for secluded beaches. If there's something specific you're after just ask us!
MARAZION
PORTHCURNO
SENNEN
The closest sandy beach is Marazion. You will have everything here from cafes, ice creams and an incredible view of St Michael's Mount you can walk to at low tide.
The Hoxton Special is a great place to rent kayaks, paddleboards, or even take kite surfing lessons!
Very popular with locals and tourists alike Porthcurno is a beautiful white sand beach with crystal clear waters.
Parking and finding a spot can be difficult in high season so we recommend taking breakfast and getting comfortable for the day!
This wouldn't be a beach recommendation without mentioning Sennen. A beautiful beach with cafes, surf school and a short walk to Land's End.
Sennen is the perfect place to watch the sunset with fish, chips and a cold beer.
HIDDEN TREASURES
COASTAL WALKS
UNIQUE ACTIVITIES
There are so many hidden coves and beaches to explore along the coast. If you're happy to go further afield why not look at: Lamorna Cove, St Loy's, Ninjizal, Porthgwarra, or Praa Sands.
You really can't go wrong anywhere walking the coast of Cornwall and so you will find an OS Map ready for you in the living room.
Easy - Sennen to Land's End (and back)
Demanding - Mousehole to Lamorna (and back)
Both with cafes at your halfway point.
For a truly unique experience you can go horse riding along the beach at low tide with Tremenheere Riding Stables!
Or book to see a show at the outdoor Minack Theatre carved into the cliffs and overlooking the sea.
If you're up for an early (6am!) swim we can put you in touch with a local group that goes most days.
ISLES OF SCILLY
Bungalow 25 is in the perfect location to do a day trip to the beautiful Isles of Scilly.
Fly by helicopter with Penzance Helicopters (year round) from the new purpose-built heliport at Eastern Green in Penzance, direct to either St. Mary's or Tresco Island.
The Scillonian III passenger ferry (March to November) is also operated by Isles of Scilly Travel from Penzance once a day - generally leaving Penzance at 9.15am and arriving on St. Mary's (the main island) at 12noon, and departing again at 4.30pm arriving back in Penzance at 7.15pm.
